Aside from the basic infrastructure, other things help people get clean water. Here are just a few ways you can help. Think about helping groups like Life-water, World Vision, and the Planet Water Foundation. You can also make rules that make it easier for residents to get water from their taps. All of these groups work to make sure that everyone has clean water, which is a basic human right.

Life-water

Life-water has been working for 45 years to help families living in extreme poverty around the world get better health care. Their programs make it easier for people to get clean water and toilets give people hope for the future. The Christian group Life-water has made it its goal to end the water and sanitation crisis around the world. If you give today, you can make a difference. Please think about helping them out by going to their website. Visit lifewater.org to find out more.

Life-water puts a lot of effort into getting involved in the community, while most donors focus on giving money. So, the organization can build on the strengths of the community and set the stage for growth and efforts to fight poverty. In the village of Monte, for example, Life-water engineers and local people work together to set up a water point where children can drink water safely. They also work to make sure that everyone in the community can get to the water source.

The Big Picture

World Vision is the largest non-profit that gives clean water to people in developing countries. It has offices in almost 100 countries around the world. The nonprofit’s main goal is to give poor people access to clean water. It also works to change people’s habits about sanitation and hygiene. World Vision has thousands of people working in development. This report talks about some of the programs that World Vision helps fund. It also tells the stories of real people who have gotten help.

World Vision and Planet Water worked together to build Aqua Tower water filtration systems for schools in Tabon-tabon, Leyte. There was no easy way for people to get clean water, so diseases that spread through the water were common there. The Aqua Tower provides clean water for handwashing and toilets, which saves lives and cuts down on the number of people who get diarrheal diseases.

Foundation for Planet Water

The Planet Water Foundation is a non-profit group based in the US. Its goal is to give safe and clean drinking water sources to poor communities. They are also in charge of projects that teach people about hygiene. Many of their projects are for communities in Asia and the Pacific that are rural, on the edge of cities, or in schools. With the help of Applied Satellite Technology Ltd, the group’s biggest project to clean water was finished. Applied Satellite was in charge of the project’s satellite communications.

Since 2011, Xylem and the nonprofit Planet Water Foundation have worked together on several clean water projects. Employees have been giving their time to install Aqua Tower systems and get people involved in hygiene education programs in these communities. The companies have also helped with disaster relief in countries like the Philippines and Honduras after super typhoons Goni and Iota and ETA. Through the partnership, Xylem will send water purification products to small villages. This will give thousands of people access to clean drinking water and toilets.

Waters That Heal

Healing Waters is a non-profit group that works to improve the health of people in rural areas around the world by giving them access to clean water. Since its start in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the organization has grown to serve nearly 194,000 people every day in 313 sites. The nonprofit takes a whole-person approach to WASH by providing water purification systems, health and hygiene education, and business and administration training for the water business. The most important thing about the group is that it focuses on Jesus.

In one project, the group went to a village where water was hard to come by and was dirty. NGOs were there with chlorine tablets to clean the water, even though the pipes were old and rusty. Most people didn’t like the taste of the tap water or how it made them feel. Most people had to boil it first because it was dirty. But this method takes a lot of time and doesn’t work well.

The Previous Well

The focus of The Last Well is to make it easier for people in remote Arctic communities to get clean water. This can be done by improving the quality of natural water sources near the community, making sure pipes don’t freeze in the winter, and making sure water gets to communities that are far away. To improve the water quality, the project will also focus on improving the infrastructure in the communities themselves. After all, if we don’t make sure everyone has clean water, who will?

The first step in making sure a remote village has clean water is to fix the sanitation problem. Most shallow wells don’t have covers, so dirt and other things can fall into them. The water can also get dirty from trash, which stops the springs from working. The International Medical Corps helps villages by building sanitation systems and digging deeper wells. They also teach village leaders how to keep their villages clean. Once the wells are built, a small group of village leaders can take care of them.
